What is the R Value Of Concrete Slab Insulation?
The Insulation R-Value corresponds to the thermal resistance rating of a product and is the measure of how well the material resists the conductive flow of heat. Without concrete slab insulation the R-Value is approximately 0.1 per 150mm. The higher the R-value the better the product is able to insulate reduce heat loss or gain. Slabmate® by Foilboard range from R0.8 (30mm thickness) to R2.4 (100mm thickness).
